About Chapters
There are several layers of organisation within STARFLEET International. If you’ve made your way here from the main site, sfi.org, then you will have seen some of those layers in play. However, STARFLEET’s true strength is how it brings together smaller fan groups and clubs under one umbrella, allowing them to benefit from being part of a much larger organisation without losing the camaraderie of a locally run group.
In STARFLEET, each locally run group is known as a chapter. Each chapter runs as either a meeting chapter or a correspondence one, and is a semi-autonomous unit, writing and ratifying their own bylaws, promotions and awards system, and working practices. In addition to this, some chapters have an active presence within the various additional programs available to STARFLEET members. All of the chapters within STARFLEET have their own quirks, and their individual foci, meaning that wherever your interests lie, and even if you’re living in a remote part of the region, one of our chapters should have something to offer you!
Our current chapter roster is thirteen strong, with eleven ships and two space stations in the region. To find out more about each chapter, either use the drop down menu at the top of the page under “Chapters”, or click the relevant link below.
