COMMANDING OFFICER

Captain Pip Slack is our current Commanding Officer of the USS Merlin.  All command decisions are ultimately sanctioned by Captain Slack and the ship's course is set as per her guidance.  You can reach the Captain by email via any Open Hailing Frequencies contact button on this website.

EXECUTIVE OFFICER
FCAPT PHILLIP HUNTER GILFUS

Captain Gilfus is our current Executive Officer, also known in the Trek Universe as the First Officer.  Aboard the USS Merlin,  Captain Gilfus is responsible for keeping track of Member renewals, Promotion points, Chapter Awards and a number of other tasks aboard the USS Merlin. If you have a query about any of these issues, then Captain Gilfus is the person to contact.  If there are any issues that need a Command level decision, Phillip can be reached via the Hailing Frequencies button below.

SECOND OFFICER
CAPTAIN SCOTT TURNER

Captain Scott Turner is our Second Officer aboard the Merlin.  As a member of the Command Team, Scott can also help to sort out any issues that need to be dealt with at a command level, or refer on if need be.  Captain Turner is also the MACO Team Leader for SFSO, so can also be contacted regarding matters pertaining to them.

CHIEF COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

This position is responsible for the maintenance of the USS Merlin's website, as well as the creation of the quarterly newsletter, "Here Be Dragons".  If anyone is interested in this position, please contact the Commanding Officer to express your interest.

CHIEF ENGINEERING OFFICER

The engineering department is responsible for posting articles related to engineering, and running engineering related activities within the USS Merlin.  If you think that this is up your alley, then please contact the Commanding Officer for further details and to express your interest in the position.

CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER
AND JAG OFFICER
FCAPT Mark Logan

FCAPT Mark Logan is the Chief Medical Officer aboard the USS Merlin.  CMO's will relay information from the main Fleet Auxiliary STARFLEET Medical, and help crew interested in Medical take part in various activities that may be going on within the auxiliary programme. There is also a Veterinary sub-department within the Medical department, run by LCDR Cheryl Caine. Mark also serves as the Judge Advocate General, which means he is responsible for helping to resolve any difficulties aboard the Chapter.

CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
LT Simon Henderson

LT Henderson is responsible for the organisation of Operations on the USS Merlin, which may range from Secret Santas to real-life or virtual meetings between Crewmembers.  If you have anything you wish to organise, then LT Henderson should be your first point of contact.

CHIEF SCIENCE OFFICER
LT David Roberts

LT Roberts is responsible for any science-related activities aboard the Merlin, which on occasion might include role-playing scenarios or virtual group activities.  If you wish to become involved in the Science Department then LT Roberts should be your first point of contact.
There is also an Archaeology and Anthropology sub-department within the Science department, which is run by CMDR Louise Anne McCulloch.

Captain Turner runs all security matters aboard the USS Merlin, which in reality will largely be either fictional or will pertain to sharing posts of interest.  If you are interested in joining the Security department and getting involved, then please do contact Captain Turner.
